Students following the Duke of Edinburgh bronze award at Coleg Sir Gâr brushed shoulders with royalty recently as they met Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales.
The event was a continuation of the celebrations of the Duke of Edinburgh award’s diamond celebrations which invited young people from the county to take part as Carmarthenshire is one of the scheme’s best performing local authorities.
Tanya Knight, lecturer & DofE leader at Coleg Sir Gâr, said: “We were honoured to take our students to this inspirational event where they couldalso take part in team building activities and volunteer work within the gardens.”
