A brand new apprenticeship in social media and digital marketing is being run at Coleg Sir Gâr from this summer. 
The level three training programme combines employment with one day a week at college to gain a nationally recognised level three diploma in social media.
At college, the apprentice can expect to learn a number of modules including how to implement and develop a social media marketing strategy, analyse website search optimisation opportunities and understand how to develop a website using content management software.
The types of employment that successful apprentices could progress to include digital marketing assistant, community engagement officer and social media assistant.
Apprenticeships have the added benefit of gaining a nationally accredited qualification whilst earning and learning through a placement with a company or organisation. Apprentices will earn at least the apprenticeship national minimum wage.
